VEGETABLE PLUG-PLANTS

The term ‘plug-plants’ refers to young nursery plants grown in trays with a standard cell size. When ready, these plants can be pulled out of the trays with an intact root ball. We produce vegetable plug plants on commercial scale mainly in 144 cell trays against confirmed orders:

  • Cauliflower
  • Cabbage
  • Broccoli
  • Lettuces (Iceberg, Cos, Fancy)
  • Chinese greens
  • Silver beet
  • Parsley
  • Celery
  • Others

We can do specific treatments for plug plants as specified by a grower at reasonable cost. The plug plants can be delivered to growers’ sites on cost-to-cost basis. Please discuss with us in advance and confirm orders to have assured plug plant supplies.

In general, our plug plants are free from common strains of major diseases, sturdy with good healthy root system, establish very well in the field and have high survival rate even under harsher conditions.
